While this retreat isn't strictly silent, you'll have ample time to immerse yourself in quiet reflection. Leaving behind the busyness of your usual schedule and arriving at a serene rural setting will offer you the chance to connect deeply with stillness and mindfulness. This journey allows you to fully appreciate the present moment, fostering a deep sense of calm and spaciousness. In this space, you can have true gratitude for the beauty of being present and the richness of each moment in your life.

Join us for seven days of meditation at Karmê Chöling. As the retreat unfolds, we will discover an atmosphere in which we can reconnect and appreciate ourselves, the natural world, and our human society.

- 7:00am Early Morning Practice Session

Arrival & Departure
Please plan to arrive between 3 and 6 p.m. EDT, on your arrival day of Saturday, November 23, 2024, in order to register and settle in for the program.
Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m.
The opening session will be at 7:30pm.
The program ends on Sunday, November 30th, at 12:30pm with a celebratory lunch afterwards.

Karmê Chöling values its commitment to making programs affordable and available to all who wish to study with us. To support this commitment we provide two program price options.
Generosity Price: $770.00
You're able to help us with this commitment by choosing the "Generosity Price". The money above the basic tuition cost goes into a scholarship fund for those who might not be able to attend a program otherwise.

This is the price of the program, it does not include housing options or material fees.

Karmê Chöling offers full-time student discounts, scholarships and other financial aid.
Program Credit:
If using existing program credit to pay for a program, you must pre-register for this program at least two weeks prior to the program start date by calling the front desk (802-633-2384 x3000). Program credit may not be used to pay for housing or practice materials and may not be used on or after arrival day.
Instructor
Greg McNally is a seventh generation Vermonter. He has lived in the Northeast Kingdom town of Wheelock since 1973 where he operates a 35 acre Christmas tree farm. He has a delightful wife of many years, four adult boys and three grandchildren. Greg has been involved with Shambhala since 1994. He was a member of the Karmê Chöling board from 2004-2007 and continues to work as chair of the land use committee.
