Following is how to get to Karmê Chöling if you aren't driving your own car from home. There's three main sections:

1. Air Travel which can get you to a regional city like Boston, New York, Lebanon or Burlington.
2. Ground Transportation which takes you from the regional cities to a pick-up location where Karmê Chöling staff can meet you.
3. Pick-up by Karmê Chöling or Rental Cars: Arrangements can be made for Karmê Chöling staff to pick you up at one of our pick-up locations. Or there are car rentals to drive yourself to Karmê Chöling.

NOTE: Even though Burlington and Manchester airports are closer in proximity to Karmê Chöling, we HIGHLY recommend flying into Boston airport or Lebanon Regional airport if you will NOT be renting a car; it is far less work to get here from those locations.

These services can help you get from a regional city where you might have flown into, to pick-up locations where Karmê Chöling staff can meet you.

*Additional instructions for Limocar:

1. Get a bus ticket for your preferred time/date from Montreal to Montpelier, Vermont.
2. From the VT Transit Center in Montpelier, walk 3 minutes to the bus stop just outside the State Street Subway Sandwich chain restaurant (from the Transit Center, walk on Main St. towards State Street, take a left on State Street, Subway is on your left). You will need to catch the bus called Route 84 / US 2 Commuter (Use U.S. currency on entry). You can check the schedules here.
3. Stay on the Route 84 / US 2 Commuter bus to the last stop, which is the St. Johnsbury Welcome Center in St. Johnsbury Vermont (it takes about an hour and 20 minutes).
4. Have a pick-up arranged from St. Johnsbury Welcome Center to Karme Choling (15-minute car ride). You can arrange a taxi or possibly a local pickup. For more info on that, you can check options below or email Front Desk staff directly.

Rental cars are available at all major airports. If you are driving from Boston airport during the day, we highly recommend taking Hwy 93 through the beautiful White Mountains. Hwy 93 ends at Hwy 91 which you should take South to the Barnet exit.

We can arrange for a KCL staff member to pick you up at one of the points listed below in the table. We offer a discount when there are 2 or more people at a stop.

NOTE: Hanover / Lebanon / White River Junction can be bundled into "one stop" as they are in the same general vicinity. 2:15pm and 6:15pm have a higher concentration of train and bus arrivals in the area. Arriving at these times gives a higher probability of someone else needing a ride at the same time.
