Qigong 7 Part 1
The Cultivation and Transformation of Generative Energy
With Eva Wong, 19th generation lineage carrier of Nei Dan Pai Xiantianwujimen Daoism
The advanced work in Nei Dan Pai (Daoist internal alchemy) begins with the cultivation and transformation of generative energy, or jing.
In this 7-day retreat, we will accomplish the following stages of inner alchemical work:
- Establish the 3 realms of jing, qi, and shen in the internal universe
- Nourish and strengthen the various regions of the water realm:
- bubbling springs
- sea of qi
- the storehouse of jing (kidneys)
- the lower dantien and
- the well of jing (tailbone)
- Transform post-celestial jing into pre-celestial jing
- Return the jing to the top of the head
- The Tiger Dragon Practice of the copulation of fire and water
- Circulate generative energy in the Microcosmic Orbit
- Strengthen and seal the storehouses of jing.
Note that midnight jing-related practices are integral to this program.
The Qigong of Xiantianwujimen Taoism
Xiantianwujimen is a Daoist lineage founded by Chen Xiyi in 10th century China. “Xiantian” means primordial, “wuji” means limitless, and “men” means gate. The translated name of the lineage is Primordial Limitless Gate.
This lineage specializes in using qigong to simultaneously cultivate and transform body and mind. A hermit and household tradition, Xiantianwujimen has been transmitted uninterrupted for over a thousand years. Qigong techniques favored by this lineage include self-massage, tendon changing, calisthenics, marrow washing, and breath regulation.
Instruction of Xiantianwujimen qigong is offered by Eva Wong, a 19th generation carrier of the lineage, and by instructors authorized by the lineage.
