Parinirvana - 2024
For The 11th Trungpa Tulku, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche
Karmê Chöling will commemorate the parinirvana (death) of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche with a series of practices and offerings from Thursday through Monday, April 4th - 8th.
The emphasis for these days will be on practice and contemplation. The schedule will include planned events and time for individual/self-organized practice and contemplation. We will observe Noble Silence most of the time, except during specific meals and discussions. Practices will include shamatha, sadhana, lhasang, contemplative reading, dharma arts practices and more. Many sessions will include readings from CTR’s teachings.
A photo display of rarely seen images taken by and of the Vidyadhara will be on display courtesy of the Shambhala Archive.
We will conclude on April 8th with a very special Solar Eclipse practice of the Sadhana of Mahamudra at the Purkhang and a celebratory dinner.
Participants may come for any and all sessions.
There is no charge for any of these sessions. Generosity in donations however, are greatly appreciated.
Those who wish to stay overnight for one or all of the days are welcome to do so at our in-house retreat rate.
