The Art of Being Human

Discovering Who We Are Through Meditation

When we truly create the time and space to dive fully into meditation practice, we begin to glimpse that goodness – rather than confusion – is the unconditional foundation of our existence. Opening to ourselves with gentleness and appreciation, we begin to see our potential as genuinely kind and compassionate human beings.

Birth of the Warrior

Seeing The Patterns That Hold Us

Having experienced a taste of basic goodness in The Art of Being Human, we want to go further. Meditation practice helps us to examine our states of mind without trying to change them, allowing us to observe how we create a "cocoon" out of our habititual patterns and habits. These old habits and patterns become more transparent, encouraging us to open up to ourselves and our world around us. This is transformational in how we see and treat life's situations.

An Immersive In-person Training in Meditation

In An Intimate Rural Setting

The Art of Being Human and Birth of the Warrior are the first and second programs in the Shambhala Training series. This is a path that invites all seekers to cultivate both inner gentleness and strength. Through a series of contemplative workshops, Shambhala Training reveals simple yet profound techniques of mindfulness-awareness meditation. No matter whether you are new or experienced, or come from other spiritual traditions these meditation techniques have proven universally valuable.

Join us and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Karmê Chöling nestled on 500 acres of tranquil wooded forests and fields. This is an ideal setting for our intimate gathering where we will have shared meditation, insightful discussions, communal meals, and leisurely moments that foster connections of the heart and spirit.
